Well it is Cyber Monday already, time sure is flying. I hope you had a good Thanksgiving and did not eat too much. Now we are looking at Christmas in just a few weeks, and then it's on to New Year. Can you believe it? 2017 is almost here. So I wanted to maybe help you out with your meal planning.
So what are your plans for Christmas? Going to see the kids, or perhaps the kids are coming to see you. Maybe your kids are still young and you are having a Merry Little Christmas at home this year. Whatever the case don't forget that Christ is the reason for the Season. What ever the case food is in the mix.
I have plans to take my wife to see her brother whom she has not seen in about 6 years. And may, just maybe, we can see our middle daughter whom we have not seen in about 3 years. Her babies are now grown and gone their separate ways. One is in the Navy stationed in Portsmouth, Va and the other one is married with 2 kids (our great grand kids, whom we have never seen) and in the Air Force and just got stationed at Dover. So we will probably not see them.
Sorry, I did not mean to give you my family tree, but while I am on that limb..Our baby daughter lives in St Augustine and we will miss her family and our 3 grand kid this year. But we do get to see them quite often. Then there is our son in Georgia and our grand kids there. I guess they are out of the loop this Christmas as well. Then there is our oldest daughter who lives with us, nuff said.
Ok, now that I have made you suffer through that I thought I would like to give you some holiday recipes. I know you probably have a lot stored up but if you are like us you are always looking for new ideas. So, below are some web sites that my wife and I go to for some of our ideas:
